Pangolin LD 2000 Intro

Lasershow Designer 2OOO is the state-of-the-art system for laser show production and presentation. LD2OOO takes the best qualities of Pangolin's multi-award-winning Lasershow Designer series, and adds more speed and more features.
As just one example, you can create raster frames and movies, like the one shown at right. (Click on the photo to see the full-size view.) You can make raster frames with built-in LD2OOO functions, or by using the free MediaLas VST2OOO realtime video system.
You can even run LD2OOO shows on a high-quality standalone laser show player built around standard, low-cost computer CD-ROM players.


Ten times more processing power

LD2OOO is powered by the all-new QM2OOO board, which enables new hardware and software capabilities: This half-sized board fits in the PCI slot available on almost any modern computer or notebook docking station. It's easier to find computers with PCI-bus slots, and the PCI bus has faster data transfer (the Lightspeed "Creation" show loads five times faster, compared with our older ISA-based QM32 board). The QM2OOO has about ten times the processing power of the older QM32. This lets the board run faster and allows Pangolin to add new software features. You can get point output rates up to 130,000 pts/sec. Such fast rates are necessary for photorealistic TV-like raster frames. Frames can be up to 6,000 points in length. This is ideal for faster 50K+ scanners, that can show more points without flicker. Software geometric correction is built in, so you can get perfectly square images on the laser screen, even if you are projecting off-center (or even if the "screen" is round like a planetarium dome).

Same reasonable price, with a great upgrade offer

Although LD2OOO has many new features, the cost remains the same reasonable price as before. There are three levels: LD2OOO Professional, $6995. The top 3D laser show software in the world. LD2OOO Basic, $3495. Most of the power of LD2OOO Pro, but you can only create 2D frames, not 3D ones. LD2OOO Intro, $1995. Perfect for simple shows and playback-only applications. If you already have our older LD system, then check out our upgrade offer. You can trade-in your QM32 board and get a new LD2OOO of the same level for about half the list price.
